Countdown to Whitley Bay Carnival
The 2021 ’26 ways to green’ Whitley Bay Carnival will be on Saturday 18th September. The parade begins 4pm. This year the carnival is all about the environment as we focus on what we have to lose and what we want to protect in the sea, the air and the land itself. Flags of hope will be flying along the coastline and the costumed promenaders will bring the environment into sharp focus, giving us a version of utopia.
Every Tuesday this summer in the Whitley Bay Big Local garden at 158 Whitley Road there will be free drop in carnival club sessions. Come along and make something special to wear in the parade. The carnival artists will be in the gazebos in the garden from 10-12 and 13-15. Find out more on out Facebook page
