Whitley Bay Big Local has the opportunity to adopt a rare K4 telephone kiosk
We plan to restore the K4 telephone box outside Whitley Bay Metro station.
It will in effect become a miniature art / heritage centre, which we hope will be a source of pride for local residents and provide an interesting welcome to Whitley Bay visitors. Inside we will tell the story of Whitley Bay's heritage as a seaside town and work with artists to create time limited displays.
Display board will tell the history of the K4 telephone box.
