Whitley Bay Big Local Trustee Recruitment
Whitley Bay Big Local is aiming to recruit up to 4 new Trustees to get involved with the Big Local Partnership Board and to help develop our Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Registered Charity No: 1171848).
We need to prioritise recruitment of people that are resident in the Big Local area – this is because Big Local is funded based on it being a ‘resident led’ project. Please see the map in Big Local's Plan or Trustee Recruitment documents, above.
Becoming a Trustee is a responsible position, as defined by the Charity Commission, and anyone considering this opportunity should read the Charity Commission’s guidance about what’s involved and what might bar someone from becoming a Trustee:
As part of regulations related to us holding a bank account, prospective Trustees would need to undertake a credit check before they were appointed.
Application packs – an application form and supporting information, including details of our new 3-year plan, published report/accounts and constitution which outlines Whitley Bay Big Local’s charitable purpose can be requested by email from Kelley Watson, Administrator: firstname.lastname@example.org or by downloading the documents at the top of this page.
Note - Applications should be submitted by no later than 5pm on Friday 24th May 2019.
