Volunteering

Volunteers are an important and valued part of the Whitley Bay Hub
 

We have a growing number of volunteers in the following areas:

​

• Wellbeing and providing safe, welcoming, social spaces for residents and vulnerable people. We have developed roles  especially in ‘hosting’ drop-ins and offering basic support to some of our more vulnerable visitors.
   

• Collection of surplus foods from local supermarkets for sharing at our" pay as you go pantry" We could increase the amount we collect- if we had more volunteers!
   

• Volunteering for activities, or as general assistants in the cafe or office

We will introduce you to how the organisation works and your role in it, help you to develop your skills  and to provide any training you need.
