Energy Community Survey

Community Energy is all about people coming together, acting and using local resources to reduce, manage or generate their own energy. A community energy project can involve different steps and actions to reduce energy costs for members through information and improvements e.g. home insulation or energy saving appliances to installing low carbon technologies such as solar panels, air source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging or storage batteries.

Community energy will empower communities to:

  • Reduce their carbon footprint

  • Have greater control over their own energy and assets

  • Strengthen local energy independence

  • Deliver cost and carbon savings

  • Support the functionality of energy distribution networks

There will be different ways to get involved in this community energy project and we would love you to take part. To give the project the best start, we would much appreciate and value your feedback by completing an initial survey.

Your responses to the survey will be collected by Whitley Bay Big Local. We adhere to GDPR best practice standards and guidance for all data collected.

If you have any questions, you can contact us by email at energy-community@whitleybaybiglocal.org  We will also be holding regular Energy Cafe events each second Saturday of the month from 10am-1pm at Whitley Bay Big Local.

We value your time and as a thank you for completing the survey.
